“We have a 700Mbps internet connection available and even though we only use around 2-300Mbps at peak times, we still find we get cut outs, slow downs, and buffering. This is because the connection provided by our ISP is not always reliable. So, even though we have a lot of capacity available, it doesn’t mean this allows us to provide a good connection.
Teachers expect stable and fast connectivity all the time, so for this reason, if we wanted to improve connectivity, we had no option but to look outside of upgrading bandwidth.
Caching has been the perfect solution because it means we rely less on fetching classroom content or software updates from our ISP, and instead can serve the majority of these requests from the cache – locally, so much much faster. CACHEBOX has made an immense difference to our internet performance – we can now do so much more with our internet connection, without upgrading bandwidth. The product makes sense and performs well. Everyone in Doha should have a CACHEBOX!”
