ApplianSys today announced Kicheko, an established Internet Service Provider (ISP) based in Tanzania, has selected CACHEBOX to make better use of its bandwidth and improve the service it offers customers.

“In many parts of the world bandwidth is still in short supply and very expensive. For service providers, squeezing too many subscibers onto existing links results in a poor service for everyone. And, what do some customers do after they’ve complained? They leave!” says Steven Tee, CACHEBOX Product Manager. “Web caching helps you get more out of connections you’ve already  paid for. This is a major issue in countries like Tanzania – Kicheko are our third new customer there in the last month.”

“Since we turned our focus to addressing bandwidth issues in developing  economies around the world, ApplianSys has seen a huge response. In 2008, we provided solutions to businesses in over 30 countries across Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Asia, all looking for performance caching at sensible prices.”

Kicheko.com is the trade name of the “Service” provided by Kicheko Ltd. Services offered by Kicheko include: Dial-up access service; ‘Always On’ full time access; Web Presence services; Webmail, allowing access to e-mail from anywhere in the world; and Internet skills training.
