Swiss buy DHCP server reliability

ApplianSys is pleased to announce that Stadt Wädenswil, one of the largest municipalities in Zurich, has deployed two DNSBOX220s to guarantee a reliable DHCP solution for its local schools’ network.

Stadt Wädenswil needed a high-availability DHCP solution to create a network for the local schools and its own main offices.

Wanting to keep DHCP on-site, it quickly ruled out using a cloud-based solution, like MS Azure. The solution also needed to be easy to manage, without requiring expert knowledge for day-to-day DHCP management.

The municipality purchased a pair of DNSBOX220 DHCP servers to provide an on-site, ‘always on’ DHCP service for guaranteed network uptime.

“DNSBOX’s appliance software is engineered to deal with unexpected network events – which can cause servers and services to fail”, explains DNSBOX Consultant, Dave Gravell, “this coupled with failover make their DNSBOX solution reliable and robust.”
