ApplianSys is pleased to announce that Laurens County SD, South Carolina has bought a CACHEBOX solution to help facilitate independent learning and relieve bandwidth congestion from its 1:1 and BYOD schemes.

Laurens County SD’s 1Gbps internet connection caters for over 6,000 school-owned and BYOD devices. With plans to implement a 1:1 student-to-Chromebook scheme, IT Director Bill Finley dreaded the extra strain this would put on bandwidth.

He sought a caching solution and found CACHEBOX to be ideal.

Having deployed a CACHEBOX420 at the district core, Bill is delighted with the results.

“With CACHEBOX, we’re seeing a consistent 37% BHR overall, with approximately 40% on savings Apple software updates,” he says.
