Resilient multi-site DHCP, managed from one interface

ApplianSys is pleased to announce the launch of a new hub-and-spoke failover model for DNSBOX200 which delivers cost-effective resilience for multi-site networks.

The standard answer to DHCP resilience has always been a redundant pair of appliances at every location – two units per site, each ready to take over from the other. For your most critical sites, that’s still the right approach. But across a large network of branch offices or secondary sites, the hardware count and costs climb fast, often for protection those sites rarely need at that level.

The latest DNSBOX200 release introduces a different model for those sites. Hub-and-spoke failover runs a single DNSBOX at each location, with a central hub providing failover for all of them.

Configuration lives on the spokes whilst leases synchronise continuously to the hub, which stands ready to take over the moment any spoke becomes unavailable.

Hub-and-spoke is the latest in a sustained programme of work to keep DNSBOX the natural choice for multi-site DHCP at scale. This release builds on the central management capabilities introduced to DNSBOX400 earlier this year.
