Whitmore high marks for DNSBOX
ApplianSys today announced that Whitmore High School – a highly rated mixed comprehensive school in Harrow, London – has purchased DNSBOX to replace its troublesome Windows servers.
Having recently moved to brand new, state of art premises designed for it as a part of a multimillion pound project, Whitmore High School wanted DNS and DHCP services to match the standard of this new infrastructure. It wanted an appliance-based solution which would be everything their existing AD system wasn’t – RFC compliant, reliable and robust. After reviewing alternatives, Whitmore decided that the ApplianSys DNSBOX was the best fit and purchased a DNSBOX420 master and a pair of DNSBOX220 slaves.
The network manager at Whitmore High School, Nalin Uduwawala, was not only looking for the best solution but also for a vendor who they can trust. “DNS and DHCP are critical services so we expect the solution to be reliable and supported by an equally reliable and professional team.”
“ApplianSys has a 12 year track record in the DDI space and customers in 90 countries. We offer a full range of consultancy services, bringing extensive DNS experience to bear to make implementing a new DDI solution easier. DDI is not an isolated network component. Whitmore were comforted by ApplianSys engineers being able to help them work through dependencies on firewalls, their overall network architecture and so on,” said Magdalena Jovanovic, DNSBOX Sales Manager.
