LOADBOX: low cost balancer

ApplianSys today announced the launch of LOADBOX, an affordable load balancer specialised for the ApplianSys product range.

LOADBOX gives CACHEBOX and DNSBOX customers the traffic routing functionality typically only available with expensive WCCP-capable (Web Cache Communication Protocol) routers enabling PBR (policy-based routing) redirection – but at a far lower price point.

LOADBOX balances traffic across multiple ApplianSys devices enabling customers to more easily upscale and guarantee uptime as their network grows.

“Customers with WCCP already benefit from load balancing but it’s complex and comes at a high a price. For customers not generally needing a new switch or router – but looking at investing in one simply to get WCCP – the extra cost is often prohibitive,” says Technical Support Manager Luke Morgan. “So we developed LOADBOX to give customers without WCCP a much cheaper option – one that’s optimised for their deployments and easier to deploy.”
