Irving picks new DHCP convention

A 40-acre meeting and exhibition space with an 8,000-seat, mixed-use, indoor/outdoor arena, Irving offers complimentary Wi-Fi to visitors and event attendees. It also provides commercial services for remote, high-speed internet.
Irving relied on a complex combination of 30 LANs and many more VLANs to handle over 5,000 DHCP leases at any one time. But its Microsoft and Palo Alto solutions could only administer 12 of the 30 LANs and managing the VLANs had become a complicated challenge for the network manager.
So, Irving looked for a secure, reliable and straightforward DHCP solution. One backed by dedicated aftersales support to ensure expert advice would always be on hand.
In DNSBOX, the Center found a simplified but powerful solution that would not only automate time-consuming and error-prone admin but make redundancy affordable and easy to implement. By deploying two DNSBOX devices as a failover pair, configured for high availability, Irving has guaranteed service uptime. Should one appliance experience an outage, the other appliance will continue to deliver the continuity of service demanded by the Center’s clients.
