ApplianSys announced today that Qwise, a Netherlands-based virtualisation and cloud computing specialist, has bought a DNSBOX solution to manage its DNS.

Qwise wanted to host 1000 zones handling around 500 – 1000 queries per minute.  Each of the zones had a low volume of queries, low traffic and a minimal number of zones.  While this was not a large requirement, the company wanted a simple, reliable and secure way to handle its critical DNS services.  It bought a DNSBOX300 master to maintain authoritative DNS records and 2 dedicated DNSBOX100 slaves.

DNSBOX Sales Manager, Magdalena Jovanovic comments: “Qwise is happy with its DNSBOX300/100 master-slave setup. DNSBOX300 provides simple and secure management of authoritative DNS through its user-friendly interface, while the DNSBOX100 slaves provide redundancy and reliability.”

Qwise (www.qwise.nl) is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and provides independent advice on various IT solutions, with a focus on Virtualization and Cloud Computing.  In July 2010, Qwise was acquired by Vision IT Group: a European IT consulting group specialising in performance management and optimisation for data centres.  Qwise currently employs 100 people, the majority of which are specialist IT consultants.
