ApplianSys is pleased to announce that one of the fastest growing Colombian telecommunication providers, HV Television (previously Cablebello), has scaled up its existing CACHEBOX solution to help cope with a rapidly expanding customer base.

In 2013, the service provider deployed a clustered pair of CACHEBOX230s to alleviate congested links and prepare for rapid growth. These units handle 6,000 customers over a 600Mbps link.

Now, with continued customer growth, Network Manager Carlos Sierra decided it was time to scale the existing CACHEBOX solution.

“HV Television expects to gain 50% more customers by the end of 2015,” explains CACHEBOX Sales Executive, Francesc Amador. “Whilst growing they want to maintain a high quality service and avoid the congestion they experienced before putting caching in place. So they’ve expanded the existing CACHEBOX cluster by adding a third CACHEBOX230 to it, instantly increasing the solution’s capacity in line with growth,” says Francesc.
